Vintage Copper Salt & Pepper Shakers, Brass Base Tableware

This vintage pair of salt and pepper shakers features simple cylindrical copper bodies finished with contrasting brass-tone bases. Their pared-back shape lets the materials do the work, with years of patina, darkening and variation giving each shaker its own character.

A particularly good little addition to a collected table—equally at home beside everyday stoneware, layered into a holiday setting, or mixed with old silver and linen.

The bases pull away for filling. One underside bears an etched inventory or identification marking; no maker’s mark has been identified.

Condition: Vintage condition with considerable patina and surface wear throughout, including scratches, spotting, oxidation, discoloration and variation to both the copper and brass-tone finishes. The interiors also show darkening and oxidation consistent with age and previous use. Please review photographs closely for condition.
