Vintage Monocottura Ceramic Tile Plaque, R.C. Gorman Signed Figurative Art (7-3/4" x 7-3/4")
A vintage ceramic tile wall plaque featuring a seated woman rendered in delicate linework and softly layered shades of blue, plum, and warm terracotta. Monocottura tile with R.C. Gorman signature.
The restrained composition leaves much of the figure unfinished, giving the piece a wonderfully loose, almost sketchbook-like quality. A thin black border frames the artwork against the warm ivory tile, with an attached hanger on the reverse for easy display.
A lovely small-scale piece for a gallery wall, bookshelf vignette, or anywhere that could use a little unexpected figurative art.
Marked Made in USA on the reverse. The artwork appears to be signed in the lower left, though the signature is difficult to decipher and the artist is unknown.
Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, including some discoloration, surface marks, and wear along the tile edges. Please review photos closely for condition.
Display stand shown for styling purposes only and is not included.
