Vintage Gorham Silverplate Ice Bucket, Barrel Style Wine Chiller, Lidded Barware with Liner
A vintage Gorham silverplate ice bucket with a wonderfully substantial barrel-inspired shape.
The exterior is detailed with vertical panels and horizontal bands reminiscent of an old wooden barrel, finished with integrated handles and a fitted lid. Inside is a removable plastic liner, making it a practical addition to a bar cart as well as a handsome piece of vintage serveware.
Use it for ice during cocktail hour, chilling a bottle at the table, or simply tucked into a collection of old silver and barware.
The underside retains its original “A Gorham Silver Original” label.
Vintage condition with visible patina, tarnish, scratching and surface wear throughout. The interior beneath the removable liner shows significant discoloration and oxidation consistent with age and use; please see photographs. The plastic liner also shows some staining. I have left much of the existing patina intact rather than attempting to restore the piece to a like-new finish.
Vintage pieces have lived a life before arriving here. Small imperfections, variations and signs of age are part of their story.
